Jure is one of the most active Slovenian guitarists, currently living in Berlin.
After completing the Conservatory of Music in Ljubljana, he continued his education at the Basel Academy Jazzcampus and the Berlin University of the Arts, where he is currently completing his undergraduate studies in Jazz. He gained his knowledge under the mentorship of world-renowned musicians such as Lionel Loueke, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Aydin Esen, Alex Sipiagin, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Peter Bernstein, David Friedman and others.
He is the recipient of several awards at the Temsig competitions. He regularly performs with various ensembles and artists as bandleader as well as sideman. He has appeared several times as a soloist with the Big Band of RTV Slovenia and had the honor of sharing the stage with one of the most renowned pianists, Aydin Esen.
You can expect an energetic evening of mostly original music influenced by different genres all from modern jazz to rock, to hip hop.
