Nayekhovichi is a 4-piece electric klezmer party from Moscow. Wailing clarinet and screaming electric guitar float on top of rock rhythm section made up of members of traditional klezmer band Dobranotch, and high soulful voice of Vanya Zhuk lays down lyrics in Yiddish and Russian like Robert Plant on a bar mitzva gig. A favourite band of young Hassidim and arts students in Russia, they send a message of transcultural love and transgenerational blues. Loud, psychedelic, always fun and with deep knowledge of tradition.
