NECE Conference 2020: Reconnecting in a post pandemic world.

The NECE (Networking European Citizenship Education) Conference 2020 will highlight the necessity of citizenship education in a world of pandemic and ecological risk. Speakers from all over Europe, the MENA region and Africa will discuss how to increase our democratic commitment and civic competences.

Due to COVID-19 uncertainities the NECE conference 2020 will take place as an online event with live broadcasting from Berlin. All plenary sessions will be streamed live and the conference will offer a wide range of online activities

Maja Göpel, scientific director of The New Institute, will open the conference with a keynote on ‘Rethinking our World – Reconciling Climate Change & Democracy’, commented by Grace Maingi, Uraia Trust, Kenya.
